We are still working out some kinks in the design and functionality of the new blog look. Please let us know what you think of the design and any problems you find.
Thanks,
The FPR Team
I like much of it very much. A good simple design. A few quibbles —
1. Font for headers (including blog name, sidebar headers and the “Leave a Comment” text) should be in a sans serif font. Too jarring to mix with the rest of the content.
2. The comment boxes are too dark.
3. the vertical background design in the comment threads — is that supposed to be a page fold or something? It’s distracting. just make the comment thread area the same color throughout, no design.
4. the Share buttons under each post are a little useless if the only method of sharing is via RSS.
5. Some sort of divider – a bullet, a dashed line, something — is needed to divide one comment link from another on the sidebar. While you’re there, you should adjust the comment sidebar to only link to the comment, not to the commenter’s provided URL (see BrianJ’s comment as an example). Each comment should have only one clickable link.
1. Please ask someone at Times and Seasons to update the link in their blogroll.
2. In my browser (IE at the public library, so I can’t update or use another browser), the font in the post headlines is too big. Capital letters and ascenders are clipped on the first line. Descenders overlap the following line, or are clipped on the last line.
3. The comment numbers are truncated to one digit. I.e. comments 10, 11, and 12 show as 0, 1, and 2.
Looks good. Good luck.
Testing login and comments…

When I look at posts in Google Reader, there are 52 (!) icons listed. (I like that “Add to Fark” is on it, that’s awesome!)
I don’t see them when I browse the blog itself. But I don’t see them on other blogs either.
Not that there’s anything wrong with it, just pointing it out.
Whoa, cool new look! Love the banner pic—any significance to the Vulgate being front and center and the BoM being slightly out of focus? {grin}
I too love the banner pic.
The comment boxes are very dark in IE; it’s hard to see what you’re typing.
You need to make sure the new address is linked up through MA, as that’s how I get here.

6. You need an About page.
w00t!
glad to see that hansen and quinn made it into the canon right next to nag hammadi.
Looks great.
What? Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia? I am surprised you guys haven’t made an update to the text.
And Book of Mormon right alongside?
It must be the color coordination.
(Sidenote confession: My same two books don’t sit side by side.)
This looks good. But there may be too much empty space in the top left-hand corner. Maybe the search box could be put there.
