That is the name of the Guns ‘N Roses album that has been in the works for the past 10+ years. Axel Rose wants to absolutely perfect the sound before he allows it to be released. It is aptly named as a sort of idealistic goal which we hope is around the corner, but may never actually come. Basically that is what we are doing here. We are perfecting a number of posts right now which will soon be released. Hopefully it won’t take 10 years, but then again I doubt it will be as good as GNR. Stay tuned.
Sorta like Duke Nukem Forever?
Axl Rose is nutso. The album was fine when it had an industrial sound. But he didn’t release it then. Then he brought a new band on did an embarrassing set on on MTV and hasn’t been heard of since. Most his band left him. Meanwhile most of his original band formed Velvet Revolver to great fanfare and reportedly their second album is vastly superior to their first (which I thought was great fun, if not exactly a classic)
Is GNR really considered good? I didn’t like “appetite for destruction” at the time. The world has past them on. I am saving my prayers for a Rage Against the Machine Reunion with a new album. That would make me happy.
Chris H,
If I’m not mistaken, I think there were a few people who bought the “Appetite for Destruction” album…
Quite a few people bought Michael Jackson records. Your point? As a good lefty, I tend to think that we should never view the market as an indicator of value, morality, or talent.
Actually, from a technical standpoint, most critics would probably give Thriller a thumbs up.
HP, How’s about a return of Smackdown: GNR vs. Michael Jackson?
i think chinese democracy looks kinda dumb and will not be that good, but will still be good. micheal jackson is awesome (when in 80’s)
